Brief biography

Yayoi Sawada was born and raised in Nara, Japan.

She obtained a BFA in Photography from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Yayoi then moved to New York City, where she first worked with the legendary Magnum Photos agency and then became an assistant to renowned documentary photographer Elliott Erwitt.

A specialist at photographing people, Yayoi has developed her expertise in fashion spreads and portraits.

She most enjoys working on projects where she can use her work to tell a story filled with emotion.

Yayoi currently lives in New York City, but works internationally and is available for artistic commissions.
